Jennifer Lopez insists that her husband, Ben Affleck, is all good despite often getting photographed with a variety of facial expressions in public.
“Ben is doing alright. You don’t need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you,” the 54-year-old actress told “Entertainment Tonight” during the 81st Golden Globes red carpet in LA on Sunday.
Late last month, Affleck hilariously went viral when photos of him and Lopez Christmas shopping with their moms surfaced. In one memorable moment, the “Good Will Hunting” actor kissed Lopez while also peeking down at his smartphone.
One week later, the couple appeared to have a tense conversation as they shopped at boutiques in St. Barts. He’d go on to scrunch his face as he took a photo of the singer.
“He is good. He is happy,” Lopez went on at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Sunday night. “He is here — he is nominated. He’s like, ‘I’m chilling, I don’t understand what people are so pressed for.’ “
Affleck’s “Air” was nominated in the best musical or comedy film category at the Globes, alongside “Barbie,” “American Fiction,” The Holdovers,” “May December” and “Poor Things,” which ultimately took home the trophy.
Affleck and Lopez sat next to “Air” star and longtime pal Matt Damon at the ceremony. During a commercial break, cameras spotted Affleck surprising Damon, 53, at his seat. The two later presented onstage together.
Affleck and Damon made it big after they co-wrote and co-starred opposite the late Robin Williams in the 1997 movie “Good Will Hunting,” for which they won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Williams won for Best Supporting Actor.
