Eminem Shocks Fans by Working a Shift at His Mom’s Spaghetti Restaurant in Detroit, Proving He’s Not Afraid of Hard Work
Eminem delighted his fans after he showed up in person to serve customers spaghetti at the opening of his new restaurant in his hometown of Detroit.
The rapper, 48, posed for selfies at the Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant- whose name is a reference to lyrics from his 2002 hit track Lose Yourself, in which he rapped about vomiting up his mom’s spaghetti.
The name of the eatery is not a reference to mother Debbie Nelson, who he has had a troubled relationship with.
His fans shared selfies on Instagram which they took with the rapper, as he handed out grub from a serving window on Thursday in a grey hoodie over a white t-shirt.
Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, shockingly flipped the middle finger to the camera in one snap.
One fan said alongside his selfie snap with the rapper: “Ready to die now.”
Fans lined several blocks ahead of the restaurant’s official 5 pm opening, with lots of people camping out since early morning, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The all spaghetti menu consists of just a few items including, spaghetti, spaghetti with meatballs, and a spaghetti sandwich.
The rapper announced the opening of his restaurant Monday on his official website.
He had previously opened a successful pop-up spaghetti restaurant in 2017 at The Shelter, a music venue at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit.
The pop-up, which is housed in a trailer, also made an appearance at Eminem’s 2018 performances at Coachella, Firefly and Governor’s Ball
