THE TROUBLED dad of an A-list actress has been thrown in jail as authorities have released his mugshot released.
A warrant was issued for his arrest after an alleged assault on his estranged wife over the weekend.
Authorities arrested the troubled dad-of-six for violating his probation in connection to his previous arrest.
Michael Lohan, 64, is the father of Hollywood star, Lindsay Lohan, 38, whom he shared with Dina Lohan, 62.
On Sunday, he was arrested in Palm Beach in the state of Florida in the US for violating probation.
In the new mugshot that was released, he was seen with a grim expression on his face.
He was wearing a navy prison-issued uniform as the authorities recorded the relevant details surrounding his detention.
An arrest warrant was active in Florida which was connected to an alleged violation of his probation almost two weeks ago.
In court filings that were reviewed by TMZ, officials stated on March 6 that he breached the terms of the court order.
This was after a felony assault arrest in Texas which involved his estranged wife Kate Major on February 21.
An arrest warrant for Michael was then issued which was connected with his probation from a 2022 conviction.
In April 2021, he was arrested in connection with five counts of patient brokering and one count of attempted patient brokering.
He was accused of pocketing money for leading vulnerable patients to one specific rehab compound.

Previously, the father-of-six claimed he had been set up by his former partner, as he claimed she had previously ‘physically and verbally abused him.’
Michael previously told the Daily Mail: “Kate has been threatening to get me violated on probation for a long time.
“She used these false charges here in Texas to do so.”
Earlier this year, Kate called the authorities as she was ‘concerned [Michael] was following her,’ according to the publication.
She told deputies that her husband had “flipped” her out of a chair at their shared home a few days earlier.
He was reportedly detained by deputies on a “continuous violence against the family” charge.
At the time, she told authorities that she felt “pain and discomfort” after the altercation, said TMZ, citing the Sheriff’s Office.
According to the outlet, a female deputy said that she saw “bruising” on Kate’s body.
A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff’s Department told the Mail that Major contacted the authorities after she reportedly noticed her ex in the car park of a medical building.
At the time, The Sun contacted Michael’s representatives for comment.
The duo split up in September 2018 when she claimed in legal documents that their marriage had irretrievably broken down.
She requested primary custody of their two sons, Landon, 12, and Logan, 10, along with child support and alimony payments.
Meanwhile, Lindsay is known for her starring roles in hit films such as The Parent Trap, Just My Luck, Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.
The A-list star is set to release a sequel to the hit Disney movie with co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, titled Freakier Friday.
This comes after the success of a number of hit Christmas films on Netflix which include Irish Wish, Falling For Christmas, and Our Little Secret with Kristin Chenoweth.
